Woman’s Embossed Sweater and Pearls

This is another card that we made at last weekend’s card class using the Suit and Tie dies.  Like I said before, I just LOVE clothing cards, and this one was such fun to make!

The sweater is made from Rococo Rose yardstick over a Thick Basic White base, which also doubles as the blouse.

I think what I like most is the effect the Subtle Embossing Folder makes on the sweater.  The texture is just perfect for a sweater.  I just found out the Subtle Embossing folder is retiring on May 4, so be sure to get it while it’s still available!

Instead of a paper trim, I decided to use the Rococo Rose Scalloped Linen Ribbon, which added a nice soft touch.  This ribbon is also retiring.

The card base is Thick Whisper White which also acts as the blouse.  The little buttons are from the Suit & Tie die set — one die makes 6 buttons! The collar is also made from the die set.  It was raised with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals so the pearls could go under it for a realistic look.

The skin was made from a negative piece of the color die.  I used Petal Pink. The pearls, I will admit, are not Stampin’ Up.  Although you could use those pearls, each one would have to be placed on the card individually.  These pearls that I had in my stash, are all connected so it was much easier and quicker to apply them.

If you have any questions about this project or any of the products used, please let me know.

Happy Stampin’!
