Window Gumball Machine Card

This is the last card we made at this month’s card class. It uses the Gumball Dies, but instead of using the shaker dome and frosted beads, we used a window sheet for the top of the machine.

The gumball machine was die cut as usual, but instead of using the shaker domes and the frosted beads, I used a window sheet. The gumballs were punched using a 1/2″ circle punch and placed so that, when the card was closed, they appeared to be in the gumball dome. I used Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, Pacific Point and Garden Green for the gumballs.

The bottom the gumball machine was die cut using Real Red for the base and Silver Foil for the mechanism. Again, punched gumballs were placed along the bottom of the card as if gumballs were coming out of the machine. A red Rhinestone Jewel was added to the center of the machine for a touch of bling.

A strip of brick DSP from the Bloom Where You Are Planted set, was adhered along the left side, and it was bordered with a tiny strip of Real Red.

When the card is opened, the punched gumballs appear lined up under the sentiment, which comes from the Pansy Patch stamp set, in a curve. A couple more punched gumballs were added to the bottom right corner, and I repeated the brick paper along the left side.
