Wild Rose Die Watercolor Card

For this card, I used the dies from the soon-to-be-retiring Wild Ride dies.  There is a coordinating stamp set One Wild Ride, but I did not use that here. Sometimes all you need are the dies!

I love the color combination on this card.  The base is Thick Basic White, the mat piece is Basic Black (3 3/4 x 5), and the card front is Basic White ( 3 1/2 x 4 3/4).  Although I usually use very thin borders, I really like the larger borders on this one.

The Real Red background is made using Real Red reinker and an Water Painter.  I went over the ink with some Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer.  The three roses are die cut in Basic Black.  I scattered some black pearls on the card (I couldn’t put my hands on my black rhinestones, but I think the pearls look equally as nice!)

The bottom right corner has a simple know for an added bit of dimension and texture.

The center of each rose has a large Jewel Rhinestone, and it was a perfect finishing touch to the rose.
