Watercolor Poppy

I needed to replenish my card stash and decided to have a card class at which we made cards with no stamping.  The cards are blank and will be ready for me to stamp a sentiment on them as needed.  That’s a great way to make a card in a hurry!

This beautiful card was made with NO stamping!  The gorgeous thinlits stand out on their own.   This card was inspired by a Pinterest post by Leanne Creates.

The background was made using a wash with Poppy Parade reinker and an aqua painter.  No painting talent needed . . . just brush back and forth!

The gorgeous poppies were die cut using the Poppy Moment Dies.

I added a tiny knot made using 1/4″ Basic Black ribbon.   This particular ribbon is retired, but you could use the 1/2″ Satin Ribbon on pge 175 of the current Annual Catalog.

The final touch is the addition of these Basic Black Rhinestone Basic Jewels.  These were in a retired holiday catalog, but they are easy to find at any craft store. You could also use clear Rhinestone Basic Jewels and color them using a black Sharpie or Basic Black Stampin’ Blends.  The color will not be as deep if you color them, though.
