I made this card for a young man who is graduating from high school. The card was an idea in my head, and I decided to make it live on Facebook. It actually came out pretty close to my original idea. So many times, by the time I finish a project, it doesn’t look anything like my original idea!
The background is embossed using the Stripes embossing folder. The “Congrats” was die cut from the Sunshine Wishes thinlits. I cut it in Whisper White and Daffodil Delight and then offset them a tiny bit to make a shadow.
The word “graduate” comes from the Sunshine Sayings stamp set. It is layered on three die cut ovals from the Stitched Shapes set as well as the Layering Ovals set.
I thought the bottom left corner needed something in it, so I decided on balloons. I used the Birthday Banners stamp set with the coordinating Balloon punch.
