One die, one cut, two cards!

After I finished making the my initial card, I quickly realized the I could use the “negatives” from my die cuts to make a second card! Both cards were made with the same papers, the same die cut,  the same stamp set, and the same ribbon. I love when that happens!

This is the initial card.  It featured all of the new In Colors.  I die cut each of the papers using the Basic Borders Dies.

I arranged the colors as close to ROYGBIV as I could . . .

The sentiment is from the Sweet as a Peach set, and I decided to ink it in Evening Evergreen since it needed to be a color that would show up nicely on the Polished Pink card stock.

I tied it all together with this sweet bow made using the Evening Evergreen Open Weave Rib bon.

The inside sentiment is also from the Sweet as a Peach stamp set.

This is the second card that came as an afterthought!

The panels were made using the negative from the border die cuts.

Since the card stock was mounted directly onto the Basic White base, I decided to go with a brighter ink, Polished Pink.

I used the same ribbon and tied a simple knot.

Same inside sentiment as the first card, but in Polished Pink.

For step-by-step directions on how I made these two cards, please see the video below.  NOTE:  if the video does not appear below, you can see it by clicking HERE.
