Meant to Be Valentine’s Day Card

I love the card for so many reasons . . . the papers, the ribbon, the dimension, the simple elegance!  I hope you like it too!  Although some of the products are retired, it can still easily be made with current product. Please watch the video below for some suggestions.

I decided to make the card easel style because I thought it made more of a statement that way.  The papers are actually one sheet cut at 3 3/4 x 7.  I then trimmed 2″ off the to and turned it over so the top was oe side of the paper, and the bottom was the other side.

The heart was made using the Be Mine stitched dies from the current Annual  catalog.  Popped up on Stampin Dimensionals, it pops and adds dimension to the card.

The images are from the Meant to Be stamp set and they are stamped using Real Red ink.

Although the ribbon is retired, I love the iridescence it adds.  A similar effect could be attained with an organza ribbon.
