The brick and mortar embossing folder is just perfect for this inking technique. When inked with Cajun Craze ink, it produces a background that is as close as you can get to real bricks!
The card base is Garden Green and the thin mat is Basic Black. The card front started out as a piece of Basic White. It was embossed using the Brick and Mortar embossing folder which was inked up with Cajun Craze ink. All of the stamped images and die cut images are from the Home and Garden stamp set and coordinating Garden dies.
The top right of the card has a stamped shovel and rake with were colored with Dark Gray Granite and Dark Crumb Cake Stampin Blends.
The bottom right has some chunks of grass which are fro the Garden Dies. They were die cut in Garden Green and then were sponged with Garden Green to some texture.
I used the last “hook” to hang the birthday sentiment which is hung with some linen thread.
The right hand side of the card has a ladder, some sheers, and some more grass.
The inside of the card has the sentiment “to the man who can do anything.” This card is for my husband, and I think I’ll change it to read “to the man who can do EVERYthing!” It also has stamped, colored and die cut images of a spade and some gardening gloves.
