Ice Cream Corner Birthday Card

This is another one of those cards where the DSP does all the work.  For this one, I used one piece of 6 x 6 DSP from the Ice Cream Corner DSP pack, cut it down to 4 x 5 1/4, then trimmed of a bit from the bottom, flipped that piece over, and voila — two different designs and my card is just about done!

Confused?  Check out the video below to see what I mean!

The base of the card is Thick Basic White.  The mat piece is Old Olive (and I die cut my tag from it to save paper — see the video for details).  The DSP started out as a 6 x 6 piece.  I cut it down to 4 x 5 1/4.  I trimmed 1 3/4 off of the bottom of it, and used the side with the ice cream cones for the top half of the card. The cones have been embellished with the retiring Ice Cream Sprinkles.

The bottom 1 3/4″ of the card is the reverse side of the ice cream cone DSP.  It looks like a waffle cone so it was perfect for this card. I added a bit of retired Old Olive ribbon because a bow makes everything special!

The sentiment on the tag is fro the Sweet Ice Cream stamp set.  It was stamped onto a scrap of Basic White cut at 1 1/8 x 3 1/8, which was then mounted on a piece of Old Olive (which was cut from the middle of the mat piece) that was die cut using the Rectangle  Shapes set.

The inside sentiment is also from the Sweet Ice Cream set.
