Heat Embossed Monochrome Sunflower Card

I had an idea and wasn’t too sure how it was going to come together.  Boy am I glad I gave it a try . . . I LOVE how it turned out.  I wanted to make a monochrome card but wanted it to have some “pizzazz”.  I decided to use clear embossing powder to bring out the color I was using while adding some shimmer and texture.

I used Flirty Flamingo Cardstock on the project, and I’m pretty happy with the choice.  The sunflowers were stamped using Versamark Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  The stamp set is Celebrate Sunflowers.  To add a bit more dimension, the card front is popped up using Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I think the large images attributed to a lot of the effect of this card.  The shimmery embossed images are just so gorgeous.  I just love the way they shine. All of the little details of the stamp come to life when they’re embossed.

Of course I needed a bit more bling, so I scattered three Basic Rhinestone Jewels on the card!

The inside sentiment is stamped in Flirty Flamingo ink and is also from the Celebrate Sunflowers set.
