This card has been my “go to” design this graduation season. It’s really not difficult to make, yet it makes a great presentation. I love that it can be personalized for any graduate with her school colors. Scroll down to see the card in a couple of different colors.
The first card was made using the new Blueberry Bushel card stock and Pumpkin Pie, as well as Whisper White.
The graduate is peeking through the window on the front of the card. The image is from the Beautifu You stamp set. The frame was cut using the Layering Squares framelits, and the “celebrate” comes from the Amazing You thinlits.
When the front of the card is opened, there is an image of the graduate. The cap was made using a 1/2″ square of cardstock, and the tassel is made from a sliver of Daffodil Delight. The “You” was die cut from the Amazing You thinlits.
To give the card a finished, neat look, I die cut a second frame and adhered it to the inside of the card to cover any appearance from the layers of Pumpkin Pie or Whisper White.
When the inside layer is opened, the greeting is stamped in the new Blueberry Bushel ink color. The two sentiments come from the new Itty Bitty Greetings set. If you don’t have that set, the sentiments are also in the newly retired Teeny Tiny Wishes set.
This next card was made for a graduate whose school colors were two shades of blue. I used Night of Navy and the newly retired Marina Mist.
This card was made for a Boston College graduate. I used Crushed Curry and the very retired Bravo Burgundy. Since my daughter was graduating from Boston College this year, I had stocked up on Bravo Burgundy because I knew I was going to be using a lot of it for invitations, party favors, and thank you cards!
