Embossed Art Gallery Card

Embossing folders are such a versatile tool to have in your papercrafting tool box! You can use them in so many different ways. Most commonly, you see them as a background with die cuts attached. In this card, I went a little off the track and stamped my images and then ran it through an embossing folder so that everything – background, image, and sentiment – are embossed. It’s such a great look! I took it one step further and also embossed the flap of the envelope.

The card base is Daffodil Delight (5 1/2 x 8 1/2, scored at 4 1/4). The mat is Calypso Coral (3 7/8 x 5 1/8), and the card front is Basic White (3 3/4 x 5). The image and sentiment are from the Art Gallery set. The flower stem is Pear Pizzazz, and the bloom is in Calypso Coral. The bloom is a two-step stamp. The back layer was stamped off twice, and the front layer is full strength. The sentiment is also stamped in Calypso Coral. The entire card front was embossed with the Tasteful Textile 3D embossing folder. If you look closely, you can see the extra texture on the leaves and bloom from the embossing folder. It looks like a work of art on the textured background.
