Daisy Garden Embossed Birthday Card

It’s no secret that I just LOVE heat embossing!  At a recent card class that featured background stamps, we made this beautiful birthday card using the Daisy Garden background stamp.

The image was heat embossed using Versamark Ink and White Embossing Powder.  After it was embossed, I cut the panel into three equal strips and mounted them onto a piece of So Saffron cardstock, placing them so there was a tiny border between the strips.

The tag was made using the Peaceful Moments stamp set and the Stitched So Sweetly dies.  It was heat embossed onto a piece of Blushing Bride. The tag was popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals to give the card a bit of dimension.

The finishing touch was to wrap the card front with a piece of ribbon to “tie” it all together.

The card was easy to put together, and just the extra step of cutting the image into strips, brings the card to a whole new level.
